Dr. Philip Darney is a Distinguished Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Darney has served on the medical faculties at Harvard University, the Oregon Health Sciences University, and UCSF.

Dr. Philip Darney, MD is Director, Bixby Center For Global Reproductive Health at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Darney is also a former Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at San Francisco General Hospital. Dr. Darney received an undergraduate degree in experimental psychology from University of California at Berkeley and his MD at UCSF and Master of Sciences at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Philip Darney, MD did his residency and fellowship training at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. Doctor Darney's clinical and research interests are in global reproductive health, preventive medicine, and women's health and family planning.
